BLACK WOMEN IN REAL ESTATE

Black Women in Real Estate enables Black Women to be seen, heard and grow in the Real Estate industry.

We’re opening doors for endless opportunities for Black Women working in the industry.

Black Women in Real Estate was established from the desire to connect with other black women in the built environment. As an underrepresented group, we rarely cross paths in our daily work life, BWRE creates the opportunity for black women to create a supportive network across the industry.

Since November 2019 we have cultivated a sisterhood through our fortnightly virtual calls and meet ups which are usually every 2 months at various locations. If you'd like to join us for our regular calls or meet ups, please register using the form below.

OUR MISSION

  • We Champion

  • We Support

  • We Challenge

BWRE is a ‘space’ where black women are supported and encouraged to bring their authentic self to work, are given opportunities to thrive, and improve their psychological safety.

As a community we challenge the status quo presenting black women as industry experts and increase the number of black women  represented in business, events, networks, and professional bodies.

  • Improve the experience of Black women in the industry.

  • Develop and maintain respected partnerships with industry leaders.

  • Drive retention and progression amongst Black women in Real Estate.

OUR VALUES

Equal Opportunity

We believe every Black woman working in the Real Estate industry  not only deserves a seat at the table, but a voice that is listened to and used in decision making to add value.

Positive Contributors

We believe Black women should be respected as positive contributors in their workplace, and within the Real Estate industry.

Reflect Society

We believe every company in the built environment should reflect society and the communities they develop, thus include Black women in the process of development from start to end.
